Revolutionizing Waste:
finding value where others overlook
Empowering Sustainability:
Turning Eco-Friendly Resources into Life-Enhancing Products
-
Together, we’ve diverted millions of pounds of carbon fiber from landfills.
-
Our latest initiative involves Olympic Peninsula wood products. Preventing millions of trees from being exported for concrete construction, we take Coastal Western Hemlock, native to Neah Bay, and are using the wood to solve housing and DoD needs.
-
Through these efforts and advanced machinery, we aim to preserve the ecological balance and health of our environment, while ensuring sustainable timber management. We are committed to crafting products that improve lives and promote environmental responsibility.
At CRTC, sustainability is more than a goal, it’s a guiding principle. We transform discarded aerospace carbon fiber and undervalued Coastal Western Hemlock into durable, high-quality products that enhance everyday life. By finding value in the overlooked, we close the loop between responsible sourcing and purposeful design. Each product we create reflects our commitment to innovation, environmental stewardship, and community impact, proving that sustainability and performance can go hand in hand.

Carbon Fiber
Carbon fiber begins in the aerospace industry — a field defined by uncompromising safety and quality standards. The material we reclaim comes from suppliers whose testing demands only the highest-performing composites. Rather than letting it go to waste, we give it a second life. The carbon fiber we intercept has passed nearly every test, but didn’t make it onto an aircraft.
This aerospace-grade carbon fiber delivers exceptional strength, durability, and lightness, allowing us to create products that benefit communities, businesses, and individuals alike. We can make almost anything from it — except airplanes.

COastal Western Hemlock
This species makes up over 40% of the Olympic Peninsula's trees. While it grows fast, its moisture pockets make it tricky for construction. In the past, it was sent to Asia for concrete forms and burned. Now, we’re working with the Makah Tribe who manages 30,000 acres of Washington timberland ethically. Through a sawmill our team built for the tribe, CRTC purchases 80% of the hemlock to thermally modify and cross-laminate.
Selkirk is a family-run company that aims to promote the growth of pickleball by highlighting the integrity of the family-oriented, close-knit community at the heart of the sport. They employ over 100 folks in the Pacific Northwest, and we manufacture their Semi-Permanent Pickleball Net!
Fabtech is a people-first prosthetic and orthotic central fabricator, distributor, and product development company started by innovators and practitioners who provide adaptable mobility solutions that make more possible, and we’re proud to say we manufacture the springs.

Is committed to the absolute best service and the best selection in online pickleball equipment and apparel. They care about the positive impact this fun sport can bring to people’s lives. They are a distributor for the SwiftNet!

Research and Development
“We are very grateful for the Recompete grant funding that will enable the CRTC and the Makah Tribe to work in partnership to create new jobs and provide affordable housing opportunities for our community.”
Our team of experienced engineers, designers, business managers, and technicians has vast expertise in innovation, product development, and manufacturing. We possess significant experience with carbon fiber and composites, along with proficiency in various manufacturing processes associated with them. We understand material science and can determine the most suitable materials based on your technical and economic requirements.

What We’re Looking For:
If you have a promising idea that demonstrates scalability and a well-founded business model, and you're in need of a prototype, or perhaps you've already validated a prototype and are ready to progress further, we are the ideal partners for you. Additionally, we are interested in engaging with clients who have established products requiring manufacturing using carbon fiber. It's essential that you are financially prepared to support the engineering and tooling expenses associated with these processes.
We begin our collaboration with an initial phone consultation to fully understand your requirements. Following this, we engage in a collaborative brainstorming session to present innovative concepts for potential next steps and our recommended course of action. If you express interest in furthering our partnership, we meticulously craft a detailed scope of work and compile a customized quotation. This document outlines the critical phases of the project along with the associated deliverables.
