The CRTC's Advanced CLT (ACLT) represents a cutting-edge design with a pending patent that integrates thermally modified wood and carbon fiber strips, resulting in an exceptionally rigid and robust wall panel. Our use of Coastal Western Hemlock allows us to maximize the potential of this rapidly growing wood for higher-value applications, surpassing traditional uses. The Advanced CLT not only eliminates the need for drywall but also offers the potential to achieve an R32 insulation value with the addition of foam board installation. Additionally, it boasts qualities of quietness and durability, providing the aesthetic appeal of wood for interior applications and the flexible option for exterior finishes. Remarkably, it can be swiftly erected, with the ability to assemble a 240-square-foot home in just 3 days.
